What this tool is

The AI Governance Gap Check compares your self-reported answers against the documentation ISO/IEC 42001 asks an organisation to hold, and reports where the gaps are.

It is a checklist comparison. You tell it what you have, and it tells you what the standard expects, in plain language, along with why each item matters given the answers you gave.

What it is not

This is not an audit. It is not a certification, and it does not lead to one. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

It cannot verify anything you tell it. The result reflects your answers, and nothing more. If the answers are wrong, the report is wrong, and neither of us will know.

Nothing here interprets any law. Where the report refers to a standard, it reports what that published standard asks for. Whether any particular legal obligation applies to your organisation depends on your jurisdiction, your sector and your circumstances, and that question is outside what this tool does.
